Mrs. Geetha Krishnamurthy is an accomplished musician. Her performance has a serene impact reminding one of her mentor and great veena maestro Dr.A.Chittibabu and has been performing Veena from 1987. Her style reveals melodies which are traits inherited from her Guru. Even today she is under the tutelage of V.Subramaniam, and Hyderabad brothers. She has received several awards and titles for her excellence in Veena recital including “Veena Ganamani” awarded by Narada Gana Sabha Chennai, in 1999, Veena Kalanidhi by Veda centre Maduari in 2005.
She lends a professional touch to her Veena recital. Her alapanas are comprehensive and meticulously rendered and she is surely carrying on a tradition with tremendous perfection.
